Joyce C. (Ridings) Greene

Joyce C. Greene, 86, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Born November 10, 1938 in Scotia, New York, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Sadie (Piotrowski) Ridings and the widow, since August 2015, of Robert D. Greene after 54 years of marriage.

Joyce retired as an elementary school teacher for the Palmyra Area School District and received her Bachelor of Science of Education from State University of New York at Plattsburgh.  A member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Annville and Lebanon County Education Honors Society, she was former Director of CCD at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Palmyra and taught CCD at St. Paul the Apostle Church.

Surviving are her children Debra L. Kinney and life partner John Devitz of Palmyra, Michael D., husband of Phyllis Greene of Moosic and Melissa A., wife of Scott Rode of Palmyra; grandchildren Nathan R., husband of Kassandra Kinney, Andrew M. Kinney, Alexis A. Greene, J. Graham Rode and Maryna J. Rode; and great grandsons Vincent E. Kinney and Arlo R. Kinney.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, December 13, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 125 South Spruce Street, Annville.
