Joseph F. Bonfanti

Joseph Bonfanti, 67, of Palmyra, PA died Friday, March 6, 2026 at the M. S. Hershey Medical Center after a courageous 24-year battle with cancer.

Joe was born and raised in Hershey, PA. He graduated from Hershey High School and Millersville State University. Joe served as a Derry Township Republican Committeeman in the township’s 3rd precinct and previously resided in Cleona, PA, where he served as a Borough Councilman. Joe was the son of the late Richard and Nilda Bonfanti. 

Joe was very loved and will be missed by his wife of 42-years, Lisa (Davis) Bonfanti and his two daughters, Adele Cole (husband Cameron) of Harrisburg, PA and Elizabeth Bonfanti (husband Zach Harbold) of Largo, FL. Also, he leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Piper Amelia Cole, Violet Everly Cole, Norah Willow Cole, and Hudson Titus Cole, the greatest joys in his life and of whom he was so proud! Also surviving are Joe’s brother, Nicholas (Sue) Bonfanti, Harrisburg, PA, his cherished aunt Louise (Hostetter), Cornwall, PA, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also missed will be his faithful pup, Louie, and his loving grand-pups Nicky, Toby, Pugsley, and Rocco.

In addition to his parents, Joe also was pre-deceased by a brother, Richard (Jeanne) Bonfanti. 

A private service will be held by the family.
