John R. Summers, 88, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020.
Born February 14, 1932 in Martinsburg, PA, he was a son of the late Melvin and Kathryn R. (Graybill) Summers and was also preceded in death by son James David Baker and two brothers.
Retired from the former Palmyra Industries, he was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Palmyra, Brownstone Lodge #666 F. & A. M., Hershey Shriners, Scottish Rite, and Palmyra Lions. John was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Penn State Master Gardener, enjoyed golfing, woodworking and gardening.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years Beverly A. (Zeak) Summers; children Vicki Lynn Kiser (Tom), John Jeffrey Summers, Jack Baker (Nancy) and Margaret Baker; three sisters; six brothers; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a future date. Private burial will be in Hershey Cemetery.
