John R. Russell

John R. Russell, 82, of Palmyra passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

Born August 2, 1941 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late John B. and Eileen (Potter) Russell and also preceded in death by brothers Thomas Kingston and Paul Potter.

Retired from the Lebanon County Prison as Deputy Warden of Treatment, he was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Palmyra and U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years Barbara E. (Smith) Russell; daughter Tracey J. Russell; grandchildren Ashley E. Muldoon and Zachary W. Depew; and great granddaughters Madison and Kayleigh Zipp.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, March 9, 2024 in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Humane Society, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
