John E. Crawford

John E. Crawford, 85, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020.

Born June 28, 1934 in East Hanover Township, he was one of eleven children to the late Albert and Leola (McCoy) Crawford and also preceded in death by his daughter Jodie A. Crawford.

Retired from Hershey Chocolate, he was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Grantville and U.S. Army veteran.  John was a volunteer driver for East Hanover Autumn Leaves transport, an avid hunter, fisherman, Phillies fan, and loved crossword puzzles.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years Georgieann (Lingle) Crawford; son Brian E., husband of Suzanne Crawford of Harrisburg; brother Richard Crawford of East Hanover Township; sister Betty Wyrick of Palmyra; and grandson Jacob E. Crawford of Middletown.

A funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at his church, 165 Firehouse Road, Grantville preceded by a viewing from 10:30 AM.  Interment, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
