Jerry E. Uhrich, 76, of Palmyra, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 in his home.
Born May 24, 1949 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Victor and Hilma (Dunn) Uhrich and also preceded in death by his brother James Uhrich and sister Nancy Long.
Retired as a loan officer from Wells Fargo Bank, Jerry was a member of Fishburn United Methodist Church (Hershey) and Encounter Church (Palmyra). He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 50 years Marty V. (Brandt) Uhrich; children Joshua M. Uhrich (Yoanny) of Palmyra, Jeremy E. Uhrich (Danielle) of Huntingdon, Jennifer L. Kyper (Scott) of Palmyra, and Jessica J. Hill (Kevin) of Palmyra; and eleven wonderful grandchildren Jayvion, Jaylen, Finley and Maddix Uhrich, Brady, Mason, Eli and Owen Kyper, and Joey, Charlee and Cooper Hill.
Jerry, an avid reader and sports enthusiast, was a die-hard Yankees, Celtics, and Colts fan. The two things most central in Jerry's life, however, were his strong faith and his beloved family. Anybody connected to Jerry was familiar with his endless comic relief, including falling victim to his fond, unique nicknames.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Encounter Church, 220 Campbelltown Road, Palmyra, PA 17078 preceded by a viewing beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment, with military honors, will be 9:00 AM Friday, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in loving honor of Jerry’s eleven miracle grandchildren to Encounter Church, 220 Campbelltown Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.
