Jean Evelyn Marburger, 96, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born November 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Thelma (Stutzman) Seibert of Palmyra. She was the widow of Ray Marburger, after 61 years of marriage, and also preceded in death by a son Larry.
She is survived by her children, Karen Marburger and Curtis Marburger; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she dearly loved; and her brothers, Leonard and “Butch,” both of Palmyra. Jean was the only daughter among eleven siblings, a role she carried with grace throughout her life.
Jean retired from The Hershey Foods Corporation after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed time with family and friends, preparing large meals, gardening, and caring for people and animals of all kinds. Her generosity, compassion, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, August 10, 2026, at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra, PA. Visitation with family begins at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania or the Humane Society.
