Janice E. Steily, 90, of Campbelltown passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born January 19, 1936 in Campbelltown, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Lillie Mae (Bolan) Hainly. Janice was predeceased by her husband of 42 years Robert D. Steily, companion of 18 years Joseph Meizen, three brothers and six sisters.
Janice worked as an insurance billing clerk at Hershey Medical Center for 22 years. She and Robert also served as houseparents at Milton Hershey School for four years. Janice was a life-long member of Campbelltown United Methodist Church and a dedicated volunteer at the Hershey History Center for 25 years. Her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
Surviving are her two daughters, Debra Phillippy (Douglas) and Donna Fletcher (Keith), and a sister, Marian Becker. She is also survived by five grandchildren Jared Harper (Laura), Michael Phillippy (Briana), Lauren Kincer (Taylor), Matthew Phillippy (Joanna), and Mark Phillippy (Jacque). She also leaves behind ten great grandchildren with the eleventh one due this May.
Pastor Matthew Davis will lead a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Campbelltown United Methodist Church, 2760 Horseshoe Pike, Campbelltown, PA 17010. Private interment, at the convenience of the family, in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
