Janet M. Rhoad, 82, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Born July 4, 1942 in Hershey, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Mary R. (Snavely) Rhine.
She graduated in 1960 from Hershey High School and 1963 from the Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing. Retired as a Registered Nurse, Janet was a member of Encounter Church of Palmyra. She enjoyed traveling with her husband across the country to Submarine Veterans conventions.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years Clinton H. Rhoad; children Sherri Port (Mike) of Hershey, Renee Dreisbach (Drew) of Jonestown, and Clinton “CJ” Rhoad, Jr. (Emily) of Annville; siblings John R. Rhine (Betty), Sally Herr (Robert), Fay Kennedy, and Cynthia Fox; grandchildren Tyler Port, Amber Port, Shayna Stumpf (Kenny) and Dominick Dreisbach; and great grandchildren Harlow Stumpf, George Stumpf and Charlie Stumpf.
A celebration of life was recently held so that Janet could enjoy visiting with her family and friends. No public funeral service will be held. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville will be held at the convenience of the family.
