Janet Elizabeth (Wagner) Hoy

Janet Elizabeth Hoy, 92, of Palmyra and a long-time resident of Lebanon County passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 with children by her side.

Born January 4, 1931 in Hershey, she was a daughter of the late William Kreider and Lillian (Ricker) Wagner and widow of William Prosper Hoy, Sr. since January 1995.  She was also preceded in death by siblings Nathaniel Ricker, George B. Wagner, William “Karl” Wagner, Robert Wagner, and Linda Wagner Gillies.

A graduate of Hershey High School, Janet was a member of Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed puzzles, reading, needlework, and serving her church.

Surviving are her children Robert W. Hoy (Anne) of Sioux Falls, SD, William P. Hoy, Jr. (Sallie) of Warsaw, IN, Diana L. Dover of Elora, TN, Dawn M. Hynicker of Harrisburg, Jon K. Hoy of Chanhassen, MN, Brian K. Hoy (Cynthia) of Palmyra, Melanie F. Ting (widow of Tien Foo) of Palmyra, Melinda B. Jones (Roy) of Dunedin, FL, Janna L. Pyle (John) of Roanoke, VA, Andrea R. McColgan (David) of Bernville, Eric P. Hoy (Beth) of Palmyra, and Marc D. Hoy (Joanna) of Wilmington, DE; 26 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren..

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 8, 2023 at her church, 220 South 22nd Street, Lebanon.  The service will be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/@faithbaptistchurchlebanonp1989  Private interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
