Janet B. Yost, 86, of Hershey, Conewago Township, Dauphin County passed away Friday, November 14, 2025.
Born June 19, 1939 in Hershey, she was a daughter of the late Melvin K. and Elsie (Lingle) Brandt and the widow, after 51 years of marriage, of Vernon L. Yost since August 2013.
Retired from The Hershey Company with 39 years of service, Janet attended Vibrant Church, Mechanicsburg and was a former member of Shells Lutheran Church, Grantville. She was a volunteer at HersheyPark and Samaritan’s Purse and a former volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and New Hope Ministries. Janet hosted International Exchange Students. Janet's hobbies included helping on the family farm, gardening, baking and walking at HersheyPark daily. Janet also loved eating ice cream and French Fries.
Surviving are her daughter Tammy R. Yost of Hershey and siblings Fern Brandt, Dolores Kuntz (widow of Charles), Jay Brandt and Geri Hancock (Doug).
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday November 22, 2025 at Conewago Community Church, 7035 Schoolhouse Road, Hershey preceded by a viewing beginning at 2:00 PM.
Private interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
