James F. Farley

James F. Farley, 67, of Jonestown passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023.

Born January 18, 1956 in Taunton, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Philip and Alice (Ripley) Farley and also preceded in death by son Joseph Farley (February 2011) and grandson Tyler Farley (May 2021).

Jim retired as a horse trainer/jockey from Penn National Race Course, Grantville and was a member of Pennsylvania Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years Mary Ann (Sinatro) Farley; son Phillip Farley; step daughters Rosemarie Nunley, Jacqueline Vieli and Bridget Samojeden; siblings Maureen Sroczynski, Michael Farley and Peter Farley; granddaughter Jocelyn Marie; and step grandchildren Ashley, Corey, Autumn, Aidan and Brylee. 

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville preceded by a viewing beginning at 2:00 PM.  Interment will be in Grantville Cemetery.
