James E. Gerber, Sr.

James E. Gerber, Sr., 69, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Born December 2, 1953 in Lebanon, he was the son of James R. Gerber, Jr. of Palmyra and the late Doris A. (Lau) Gerber.

Retired from Hershey Foods West, he was very community oriented, enjoyed being outdoors, travelling, playing ice hockey and loved everything Penn State.  Family was always first with Jim, especially his grandson Killian.

Surviving in addition to his father are his wife of 33 years Donna M. (Shertzer) Gerber, son James E. Gerber, Jr., of Middletown, sisters Nancie Keck (Barth) and Cynthia Giffin (Michael), and grandson Killian E. Gerber.

A visitation will be held 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Sunday March 19, 2023 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra.
