James C. Johnson, II

James C. Johnson, II, 81, of Palmyra passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Born April 4, 1942 in Stanaford, West Virginia, he was a son of the late James C. and Kathryn (Callahan) Johnson and the widower of Susan (Donnally) Johnson.

Formerly the Director of the National Track and Field Program for Hershey Foods, he was a US Marine Corps veteran.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting and street bicycling, wrote poetry and was an avid runner.

Surviving are his daughters Aimee B. Caswell (widow of Frank) of Harrisburg and Emily H. Dennis (Michael) of Palmyra; sisters Rebecca Billups (widow of Gene) and Susan Lively (Clifford); and grandchildren Grayson and Landon Dennis.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 19, 2023 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM.
