Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Gibler, 81, of Palmyra passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Born February 22, 1944 in Elizabethtown, she was a daughter of the late James Ashby and Ruth J. (Haag) Morris and was the widow, after 57 wonderful years of marriage of Herbert C. Gibler, II on January 15, 2022. Jackie was also preceded in death by great granddaughter Sloane Houser and siblings Anna M. Ebersole (Kenneth), Eugene W. Morris (Jean), Carl V. Morris (Maria), Rita J. Brandt (Jack), Marilyn M. Morris and James C. Morris (Ron).
Jackie graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1962 and Lancaster Business School in 1964. After Business School she worked at Elizabethtown College until she and Herb got married on October 17, 1964 and moved to El Toro Marine Base in California. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Palmyra where she had taught Sunday School, was a Youth Fellowship Leader and served on consistory.
Jackie’s family was her life! She was mother to children Denise M., wife of James Eichelberger, Cheryl L., wife of Robert Hermanson, and Hieth D., husband of Tanya Gibler.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy: Nathan C. Houser (Mandy), Evan M. Houser (Christina), Ryan T. Houser (Kelsey), Megan A. Houser (Dairrein Buskey), Ashlan M. Houser, Gage A. Hermanson, Gavin F. Hermanson (Alyssa), Holden L. Gibler, Logan C. Gibler, Payton E. Gibler, and Aiden H. Gibler.
She is also survived by her wonderful great grandchildren: Emma Houser, Whitley Houser, Ellie Houser, Cora Houser, Cohen Houser, Rowland Buskey, Luca Hermanson, Kai Hermanson, Mavic Hermanson, Oakley Hermanson, Theo Hermanson, Sawyer Gibler, Cade Hermanson and Bryson Buskey; and sisters Kathleen M. Brubaker (Charlie Lesher), Joyce E. Strickler (Earl), Linda L Brinser; brother Gary L. Morris (Debra); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville will be held at the convenience of the family.
