Jack E. Gingrich, 85, of Palmyra passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022.
Born August 4, 1936 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Russell R., Sr. and Cora (Neidig) Gingrich and also preceded in death by siblings Arlene Haag, Evelyn Mariani, Russell Gingrich, Jr., Carl Gingrich, and Robert Gingrich.
Retired from Hershey Foods, he then worked for Manheim Auto Auction. Jack attended Palmyra High School then served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Palmyra American Legion and Palmyra VFW and was an avid golfer, with a hole in one to his name. An avid sports fan, especially of the Phillies, Jack coached legion and twilight baseball.
Surviving are his wife of almost 59 years Marlene (Groft) Gingrich; children Timothy Gingrich (Sheila) of Palmyra, Kelley Finkelstein (Michael) of Harrisburg, and Amy Gralewski (Timothy) of Florida; and grandchildren Rachel Finkelstein, Marc Finkelstein, and Morgan Gralewski.
A visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra. Private interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
