Isabelle H. (Helock) Bergey

Isabelle Helen Bergey, 59, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, June 17, 2025.  As in life, she was surrounded by her loving family, when she joined her parents in their eternal home.

Isabelle, known as Bella, was born on October 7, 1965, in Hazleton, PA to Andrew Helock, Jr. and Isabelle Helock.  She grew up camping in the summer with her three sisters Jenny, Patti, and Andrea.  In high school, she enjoyed playing clarinet in the band and was a part of honor roll.  In 1987, Bella graduated from Penn State with a nursing degree.  Bella worked in oncology before taking a step back in 1992 to be a stay at home mom - which she often described as her greatest joy in life.  After her two children, Joel and Bel were grown, she returned to work and found a career she adored as a Community Liaison with Homeland at Home.  In December 2023, Bella added a new title to her repertoire - Grandma.  Like ‘Mom,’ being a ‘Gigi’ came naturally to her, and Elle reaped those benefits.  Bella attended Living Legacy Church and loved the Lord.  Throughout her life, Bella enjoyed crocheting scarves and baby afghans, cooking and baking, tending to plants and spending time with her family. She loved deeply and will forever be missed by all who knew her.

Bella lives on in: Joel Bergey (son), Isabel Jung (daughter), Daniel Jung (son-in-law), Isabelle Jung (granddaughter), Jennifer and David Godusky (sister and husband), Rebecca, Randy and Martin Guest (niece, husband, and grand-nephew), Elizabeth and Taylor Leturgey (niece and husband), Patricia and Wayne McCorkle (sister and husband), Luke McCorkle (nephew), Andrea, Jeremy and Sophia Plonk (sister, husband and niece).

In lieu of black, please feel free to wear color as we remember Bella’s bright and infectious personality during her Celebration of Life 11:00 AM Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Living Legacy Church, 228 McCorkle Rd, Hershey.
