Irene M. (Imes) Cioban

Irene M. Cioban, 93, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at her home.

Born May 27, 1929 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Cora (Lenker) Imes.  The widow of George M. Cioban since October 2008, she was the last of her immediate family being preceded in death by siblings Martha McWhinney, Dorothy Schaeffer, Clara Gesford, William Imes, Louise Eshleman and Vera Schaeffer.

She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Grantville, East Hanover Township Autumn Leaves and East Hanover Township Women’s Group.  Irene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, playing the piano, putting together puzzles, reading her scriptures and being around her many friends.

Surviving are her children Candace Condran (Charles) and George Cioban (Elaine Kohr) all of Grantville; grandchildren Craig Condran (Kim), Andrew Condran (Amy), Rebecca Moyer (James), Matthew Condran (Erin) and Amanda Taraborelli (Peter); great grandchildren Jacob, Leland, Mikaela and Luke Condran and Elena Taraborelli; step great grandsons Kadan, Bryce and Max Readinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private service will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
