Herman H. Herr, Jr.

Herman H. Herr, Jr., 87, of Annville and formerly of Palmyra passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Born July 24, 1938 in Annville, he was a son of the late Herman and Sarah (Wentling) Herr and widower of Sidney M. (Hicksenheiser) Herr since August 2021, after 63 years of marriage.  Herman was also preceded in death by brother Russell Herr.

Retired from the HVAC Department of the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Herman attended Annville United Christian Church and was an avid gun and knife collector.  He enjoyed auctions and antiques but especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Surviving are his daughters Wendy Lynn Peters (Charles) of Lebanon and Lori Ann Cassel (Michael) of Harrisburg; and grandchildren Kyle Herr and Amanda Miller.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Annville United Christian Church, 245 West Church Street, Annville preceded by a viewing from 9:30 AM.  Interment in Zion Cemetery, Grantville.
