Henry J. Noggle Obituary

Henry J. Noggle, 77, of Mechanicsburg passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at home.

Born December 28, 1943 in Harrisburg, he was the youngest and last of his immediate family.  A son of the late Lester and Mary (Walkendifer) Noggle, he was also preceded in death by his eleven siblings and a daughter Christina M. Barnhart in October 2020.

Retired from Insulators Local 23, he was a 1963 graduate of Central Dauphin High School and served in the National Guard.  He was a NASCAR and Redskins fan and took enjoyment in birdwatching and camping.  Henry was always active with house projects but kept family as the center of his world.  One of his favorite accomplishments was helping restore his grandson’s 1984 Camaro.

Surviving are his wife of almost 55 years Darlene M. (Crandy) Noggle;  daughter Michelle M. Wiest of Mechanicsburg;  grandchildren Rachel M. Barnhart of Lancaster, Ashley M. Barnhart of Palmyra (fiancé Nicholas Davis), and Zachary T. Wiest of Florida (fiancée Shannon Thomson); son-in-law Thomas E. Barnhart of Grantville; and favorite nieces Susan Fearnbaugh, Kandy Lenker, and Linda Hammacher.

Private interment in Mount Laurel Cemetery, Piketown.

The family would like to extend their extreme thanks to the Ortenzio Cancer Center for his extra year of life and to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania for making his final transition more comfortable.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.
