Helen S. (Smith) Dodge

Helen S. Dodge, 83, of Palmyra and formerly of Hershey passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Born January 29, 1941 in Moorefield, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Alvin A. and Lulu E. (Helmick) Smith and widow of Roderic A. Dodge since March 2023, after 61 years of marriage.  She was also preceded in death by siblings Ruth Smith, Alvin W. Smith, Melvin G. Smith, Mary Lee Bill, Doris L. Avery, Joyce M. Gumpher, Eldon W. Smith, and Carl O. Smith.

Retired from the Milton Hershey School, Helen was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey, Penn State Alumni Association, HACC Alumni Association, and formerly a member of the Hershey Rotary Club.

Surviving are her daughter Debra S. Dodge of California, brother Forrest E. Smith (Judy) of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

Private interment in Hershey Cemetery.
