Harry G. Bowman, 91, of South Lebanon Township, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024.
Born April 15, 1933 in South Annville Township, he was a son of the late Ammon and Mary (Long) Bowman and, after 68 years of marriage, the widower of Shirley A. (Yorty) Bowman since June 2023.
Harry was a self-employed general contractor, a member of Tall Cedars, Zembo Shrine and 32nd Degree Mason with Mt. Olivet Lodge No. 704 F. & A.M. An avid hunter, he liked going to his camp and enjoyed any kind of animal. Harry enjoyed watching Penn State sports, Eagles football, Phillies (Orioles – second choice) baseball.
Surviving are his daughters Judy L. Bowman (fiancé Fred W. Zeigler), Patti L. Gingrich (Kenneth J.), Sheri L. Allen (Barry L.) and Gayle L. Sweinhart (Henry C.); grandchildren Nathan Hartman (Lindsay), Mitchell Hartman (Cherrill), Drew Gingrich (Devon), Jonathan Allen (fiancée Alecia Walter), Brandon Allen, Nicholas Sweinhart and Kathryn Sweinhart; and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2024 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM. Interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
