Harold L. Brightbill, 77, of Palmyra passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 at home.
Born April 16, 1948 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Samuel A., Sr. and Katherine (Rausch) Brightbill and also preceded in death by sister Katherine Lingle and a brother Samuel Brightbill, Jr.
Harold previously worked for the former Lebanon Valley Lumber in Palmyra, Hershey Foods, and as maintenance at HIA. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served the Citizens Fire Company #1, Palmyra for 60 years and was a member of the Palmyra Sportsmen’s Association.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years Lana J. (Bowman) Brightbill; son Brian L. Brightbill (Teri) of North Lebanon Township; daughter Robin L. Reed (Brian) of Ephrata; brother George Brightbill; and grandchildren Ryan Blackwell (Natalie), Dylan Blackwell (Phaedra), Elizabeth Brightbill, and Meryck Reed.
A memorial service will be held 6:30 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Citizens Fire Company #1, 35 West Walnut Street, Palmyra where his remains will be laid to rest.
