Harold G. Gingrich

Harold G. Gingrich, 97, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the village.

Born May 14, 1926 in South Annville Township, he was a son of the late Hiram G. and Nora M. (Gerberich) Gingrich.  He was the widower of Thelma I. (Swope) Gingrich since April 2015 after 67 years of marriage and also preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Walter and Alice Ruth Gingrich.

Harold was Assistant Secretary and Assistant Vice President of Taxes and Insurance for HERCO.  He received his Associate degree from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, was a member of Lebanon Church of the Brethren and former member and deacon of Hanoverdale Church of the Brethren, Hummelstown.

Surviving are his wife June Lucille (Reinhold) Hood: son Dr. Dennis L. Gingrich of Hershey; daughter Judith A., wife of Dr. J. Kent Wagner of  Hershey; brother Lloyd, husband of Velma Gingrich; grandsons Andrew, husband of Jodi Wagner, Jeremy, husband of Jen Wagner, and Benjamin, husband of Christine Wagner; and great grandchildren Claire Wagner and Christopher Wagner.

A memorial service will be  held 7:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the DiMatteo Worship Center at Londonderry Village, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra preceded by a visitation starting at 6:00 PM.  Private interment in Hanoverdale Cemetery, Hummelstown.
