Gloria E. (Fouse) Thompson

Gloria E. Thompson, 98, of Harrisburg passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Born June 17, 1927 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Gaver and Ruth (Watts) Fouse.  The widow of Wayne E. Thompson since May 2005, she was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Thomas Keegan, brother-in-law Carl and Marie Thompson, and nephew Mike McCall.

Loving retail sales, Gloria previously worked at John Wanamaker’s, Bon-Ton Baby Department, and Warren’s Gift Shop.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and former Rockville United Methodist Church, Harrisburg.  Mexican food, margaritas, cheering for Penn Sate football, feeding deer, and working in the yard where what Gloria enjoyed, but she simply loved laughing and having a good time.

Surviving are her children Cynthia S. Cover (Charles) of Camp Hill, Jeffrey W. Thompson of Phoenix, Arizona and Shari L. Thompson of Harrisburg; grandsons Max Grant Thompson (Melanie) and Brent Allen Thompson; granddaughters Olivia Louise Aronoff (Benjamin) and Sara Cathryn Kosco; great grandchildren Olivia Grace Thompson, Lucas Jack Thompson and Lauren Elizabeth Aronoff; nieces Erin Heise (John), Marie Kandravi (Craig), and Sue McCall (widow of Mike); nephew Thom Thompson (Suzi); great nieces Keegan Heise and Emily Heise; and special friends George and Lisa Kosco.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville preceded by a visitation from 9:30 AM.  Interment in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
