Glenn S. Witmer, 97, of Palmyra, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025 peacefully at home with family by his side.
Born January 10, 1928 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Samuel E. and Sarah M. (Barley) Witmer and widower of Bonnie O. (Reigle) Witmer since June 2019. He was also preceded in death by siblings VerLue, Bruce, Wayne, Elvin, Myra, Mabel, Mildred, and Ross.
A proud Army Veteran, he worked for Hershey Foods for over 46 years and enjoyed being outdoors and hunting. One of his greatest joys was traveling the country with his wife and family. More than anything he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Surviving are his daughter Virginia Ream of Hershey; grandchildren Cody, husband of Colleen Broaddus and Tiffany Broaddus; great grandchildren Jessica, Raymond (Amber), and Steven; great great grandchildren Kevin and Kinsley; sister Dolly Murray; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be held 9:00 AM Friday, April 18, 2025 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
