Gene D. Eagle

Gene D. Eagle, 90, formerly of Hershey passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 at Londonderry Village, Palmyra.

He was born April 30, 1933 to the late Raymond and Ruby (Layman) Eagle and also preceded in death by his brother Roland Eagle.

Retired from IBM, he was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and member of Spring Creek Church of the Brethren.  Gene was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the mountains, especially spending time with family at their Potter County cabin.  He enjoyed woodworking, golf, travel, and snowmobiling.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years Janet (Poff) Eagle; son Gary Eagle (Susan) of Iselin, New Jersey; daughter Kim Forney (Kevin) of Harrisburg; grandchildren Matthew Eagle, Bethany Eagle, Steven Eagle, Ashlin Fields Stecz (Michael), and Kyle Fields; and great grandsons Wyatt and Bennett Stecz.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 30, 2023 at his church, 335 East Areba Avenue, Hershey preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM.  Private interment in Spring Creek Cemetery, Hershey.
