Gail N. (Nelson) Witmer

Gail N. Witmer, 80, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at Bickford of Chesterfield, VA.

Born August 24, 1944 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Vivian (Cranford) Nelson. Gail was the widow of John H. “Jack” Witmer since March 2014 and also preceded in death by her brother George Nelson.

A 1962 graduate of John Harris High School, she was a former employee of AMP Incorporated, Dauphin County Republican Committee, and Grace United Methodist, Harrisburg.

Surviving are her daughter Amy Cross (William) of Midlothian, Virginia; son Charles Witmer (Jessica) of Silver Spring, Maryland; and five grandchildren Taylor Rhoden (Connor), Ethan Cross, Emily Adams (Cameron), Eli and Graham Witmer.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 20, 2024 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville, PA followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM. Private interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
