Frederick W. Engle

Frederick W. Engle, 79, of Palmyra passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

Born December 10, 1943 in Hershey, he was a son of the late William and Miriam (Brandt) Engle.

A retired electrician from Hershey Foods with 45 years of service, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years.  Fred enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping, and Ford Mustangs.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years Mary E. (Brightbill) Engle; children Michael A. Engle of Campbelltown, Christopher W. Engle (Alma) of Honduras, Frederick H. Engle of Palmyra, Sandra E. Engle of Campbelltown, and Michelle N. Engle of Harrisburg; siblings Dianne Arnold of Campbelltown, Susan Byrd of Lebanon, Kathy Dove of Palmyra, and Sarah Graup (Greg) of Cornwall; grandchildren Britney, Gerson, Judith, Alexa, and Hector.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
