Franklin A. Eckert, 86, of Palmyra passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021.
Born February 15, 1934 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Homer, Sr. and Ellen (Anthony) Eckert. He was the widower of Nancy M. (Lehman) Eckert since October 2017 and also preceded in death by brothers Homer Eckert, Jr. and William Eckert.
Retiring in 1991 from the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, he was 1952 graduate of Palmyra High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College in 1956. Frank was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of Palm Lutheran Church, Palmyra and the Audubon Society.
Surviving are his children Gregory L., husband of Donna Eckert, Timothy L., husband of Susan Eckert, and Robyn Sue Eckert; grandchildren Gregory, Michael, Tabitha, Peter, James, Matthew, Josiah, Ruthanna and Sarah; and two great granddaughters Claire and Emma.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Community Bible Church, 1849 South Forge Road, Palmyra preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Private interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
