Frank Austin Sears, Sr., 79, of Derry Township, PA passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Born January 8, 1945 in Corning, New York, he was a son of the late Austin Jasper Sears, Sr. and Eleanor Lillian (Mitchell) Sears. He was also preceded in death by a son Dale Sears and siblings Linda Sears, Philip Sears, Austin Sears, Jr., David Sears and Kathleen Merrill.
A retired truck driver for Texas Eastern Pipeline, and security guard at Capital Security, Frank was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his children Steven Sears, Frank Sears, Jr., and Pamela Wolfe; siblings Beatrice Beebe, Bryan Sears and Arlene Closkey; aunt Virginia Breon; sisters in law Bonita Sears and Sue Sears; significant other Marty Winter; and grandchildren Eric Sears, Jenna Wolfe, Madeline Sears and Frank Sears.
Frank was a likeable, quiet, peaceful man who enjoyed hunting and fishing, old country music and collecting jackknives and other old items that caught his eye. He loved the 100-acre farm he grew up on and enjoyed bringing his children to visit their relatives and explore the farm often.
A brief celebration of life will be held in Palmyra, PA followed by a gathering of family and friends at the North Corning Fire Hall, Corning, NY at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5th, 2024.
