Frances J. (Risser) Leffler

Frances J. Leffler, 93, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Born June 10, 1932 in Jackson Township, Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late Elmer P. and Beulah (Hibshman) Risser and the widow of Robert A. Batdorf since 1998 and Kenneth E. Leffler, Sr. since 2019.  She was also preceded in death by children David Batdorf, Karen Moore, Joanne Books, and Faye Pagan and siblings Wayne Risser, Lena Bashore, and Mahlon Risser.

A Registered Nurse, Frances retired from the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon and later worked at Cornwall Manor.  She was a 1950 graduate of Bethel High School and member of Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, Hershey and Conrad Weiser Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her son Neal Batdorf of Waynesboro; step son Kenneth E. Leffler, Jr. (Sharon) of Myerstown; brother Carl Risser of Lititz; sister Ruth Bashore of Myerstown; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A celebration will be held 6:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2025 at DiMatteo Worship Center of Londonderry Village, 1200 Grubb Road.  Private interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Myerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund, Londonderry Village, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.
