Fay J. (Seltzer) Betz

Fay J. Betz, 85, of Frey Village, Middletown and formerly of South Londonderry Township and Palmyra, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020.

Born September 12, 1935 in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Claire and Alice (Phillippy) Seltzer.  Fay was the widow of Glenn R. Betz since December 2007 and also preceded in death by brothers Kenneth and James Seltzer.

A former caretaker of Gravel Hill Cemetery and employee of Gravel Hill Christian Child Care, she was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, Palmyra since birth.  Fay was an avid baker, baking hundreds of shoo fly pies for bazaars and to give away.  Most important to her was raising and caring for her family.

Surviving are her children Barry Betz (Tara Ditt Betz) and their son Bryce, Bonita “Bonnie” Meier (Jeff Meier), and Brenda Holston (fiancé Chris Milletics) and her children Kathryn Holston and Joseph Holston (Natalie).  She was “Aunt Fay” to her nieces, nephews and others who became close to her through her generous, giving spirit.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
