Evelyn R. (Werner) Powell

Evelyn R. Powell, 92, of Palmyra passed away Friday, August 23, 2024.

Born November 7, 1931 in Palmyra, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Sallie (Dutweiler) Werner.  She was the widow of Harold L Powell since April 3, 2014 and also preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Schwartz and Vivian Keefer, and brother Arthur Werner Jr.

A former deli clerk at ASK, Palmyra, Evelyn was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Palmyra, Mohler Senior Center, Hershey AARP and the former Palmyra Senior Citizens.

Surviving are her children Dale Valentine of Palmyra and Sherry Mann of Lebanon; brother Stanley Werner of Florida; grandchildren Angela Zimmerman, Jamie Valentine, Chad Weaver and Christine Leon; and great grandchildren Amber Weaver, Lukas Zimmerman, Ryan Zimmerman, Thomas Zimmerman, Lidio Leon and Joaquin Leon.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2024 at her church, 20 East Cherry Street, Palmyra.
