Etta A. (Hoffmaster) Light

Etta A. Light, 95, of Palmyra passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at home surrounded by her two loving daughters.

Born December 20, 1927 in Dauphin County, she was the last surviving child of Thomas G. and Ella (Pancake) Hoffmaster, being preceded in death by her four siblings.  She was also the widow of Kenneth L. Light since June 2016.

Etta retired from Pine Street Elementary School, Palmyra and enjoyed square dancing, crafting, riding motorcycle, boating, being with The Sewing Club, collecting seashells and visiting Florida and the beach.  Her favorite activity was spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughters Sharon L. Shirk (Mark) and Jeanne A. Fasnacht (Frank) both of Palmyra; granddaughters Angela Martin (Cole), Heather Derr (Steve), Stacey Freeman (Jesse) and Shelley Ziats (Brain); great grandchildren Alyssa (Zach), Brenden (Victoria), Kayden, Kameron, Jada, Alexa, Brohdon, Easton, Kenny and Kai; and great great grandchildren Addalyn, Caleb, and Blake.

A private graveside service will be held at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
