Ethel M. (Deimler) Crowell

Ethel M. Crowell, 87, formerly of West Hanover Township passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Celebration Villa of Altoona.

Born February 7, 1935 in Hummelstown, she was a daughter of the late David R. and Elsie K. (Forney) Deimler.  The widow of Robert E. Crowell since December 2019 after 55 years of marriage, she was also preceded in death by a son Randy L. Crowell in 2010 and brothers Martin, Richard, Roy, Raymond, and Warren.

Ethel was a caregiver, wanted to be a short story author, and enjoyed golfing and gardening.  She loved baseball, football, golf, country music, the Steelers and Pirates, and reading Amish books.

Surviving are her children David M. Crowell (Susan) of Harrisburg, Lonnie L. Crowell (Jennifer) of Hummelstown, and Patricia R. Fleck (Tim Keel) of New Enterprise; daughter-in-law Theresa Crowell of Halifax; siblings John Deimler of Middletown, Ray Deimler of Palmyra, Charles Deimler of Halifax, Ruth Espenshade of Grantville, and Sara Loye of Harrisburg; eleven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
