Emily M. (Pala) Summy

Emily M. Summy, 94, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Columbia Cottage, Palmyra.

Born January 16, 1929 in Hershey, she was a daughter of the late David and Pasqua (Pichini) Pala and the widow since July 2016 of John W. Summy, after 68 years of marriage.  She was also preceded in death by sons Neil Summy and Brian Summy; brother Anthony Pala; and sisters Mary Vagnerini, Rose Thierwechter, Dora Borzilleri, and Matilda Mattera.

Emily retired from Sears and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Palmyra.

Surviving are her children J. Michael Summy of North Carolina, Lori A. Jasper of Texas, LuAnn M. Pallas of Fairfield and Lynda A. Sparrow of Texas and four grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 13, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 West Pine Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM.  Private interment will be in Hershey Cemetery.
