Elwood D. Sheeler

Elwood D. Sheeler, 85, of Elizabethtown, Dauphin County passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Born December 1, 1938 in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Norman and Charlotte (Sunderland) Sheeler and widower of Lynne E. (Weiss) Sheeler since September 2014.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings Earl, Lloyd and Joy.

He owned the former Hess TV and Appliance, Elizabethtown, was an avid hunter, and enjoyed watching sports especially Lower Dauphin High School and Penn State wrestling.  Elwood loved cars, mainly Studebakers, and John Deere tractors, was the greatest Pappy ever, and loved his granddaughters and great grandchildren unconditionally.

Surviving are his children Margie Martin of Elizabethtown, Michael Sheeler (Sue) of Elizabethtown and Dawn Gipe of Rheems; granddaughters Felicia “Fishy” Sinniger, Katie Martin and Hailey Jackson (Charles); and great grandchildren Noah and Addy Krall.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 1:00 PM.  Interment in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery of Colebrook.
