Eileen M. Snyder, 86, of Halifax passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Born October 29, 1937 in Killinger, Dauphin County, she was the last surviving daughter of the late Ray E. and Mildred (Daniels) Yeager. The widow of H. Bruce Snyder since 2009, Eileen was also preceded in death by a daughter Suzanne Snyder, grandson Henry Wilson Snyder, four sisters and one brother.
Eileen was a math teacher, realtor, and tutored for both academia and industry. Outside of work she enjoyed traveling, gardening, and especially caring for her barnyard animals and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters Dr. Teresa Snyder-Leiby (Mark) and Michelle Alger (Dean); son-in-law Neil Wilson; grandchildren Thomas Wilson, Nichole Leiby, Mark Leiby, David Mease (Jade), Samantha Beahm (Joseph), Abigail Alger (Jared Richard), and Rachel Alger (fiancé Hunter Camerot); and great grandchildren Alice, Miles, Daxten and Aubrianna.
A memorial service for Eileen, Bruce and Suzanne will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Salem United Church of Christ, 2761 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra followed by a visitation and luncheon at 12:30 PM.
