Ei "Nikki" (Hanzawa) Hixon

Ei “Nikki” Hixon, 94, formerly of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at The Middletown Home.

Born August 1, 1929 in Japan, she was a daughter of the late Mitsugoro and Shina Hanzawa.  She was the widow of Charles R. Hixon since February 2021, after 69 years of marriage.

Nikki was very proud of obtaining her American citizenship while her children were young and exercising her right to vote, missing very few elections.  She retired from the Blue Mountain Hotel, after many years as the lead server.  Nikki enjoyed traveling with Charlie, fine dining and spending time with her girlfriends, especially Hiroko Smith.

Surviving are her son Don Hixon (Tara) of Palmyra; daughter Cheryleen Deitz (John) of Hummelstown; granddaughter Apryl Deily (Mike); grandson Chad Deitz (April); step grandchildren Jessica Wilkinson and Jeremy Gantz; great grandson Sam Deily; step great grandchildren Ted Deily, Emma, Kendra and Jared Wilkinson, and Levon Gantz.

Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg will be at the convenience of the family.
