Edwin H. Mease

Edwin H. Mease, 82, of Derry Township passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Country Meadows of Mechanicsburg.

Born June 2, 1936 in Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Harvey and Martha (Binkley) Mease and widower of Hattie M. “Pat” (Espenshade) Mease in August 2016 after 61 years of marriage.  He was also preceded in death by a son Edwin S. Mease and siblings Ray Mease, Ellie Jones, Charles Mease, Freddie Mease, and Elvin Mease.

Retired from Roadway Express in 1997, he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local 776 and worked at the Hershey Recycling Center after retirement.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed hunting, his dogs, and his cabin.

Surviving are children Jeffrey L. Mease, Rickey J. Mease, Beverly M. Mehalick, Beth A. Beaver and Scott N. Mease; siblings Geraldine Bohr, Anna Kreiser, Harrison Mease, Allen Mease, Linda Doster, Louise Lavan, and Thomas Mease; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing beginning at 1:00 PM.  Military honors will be held 9:30 AM Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
