Edna L. Spisak, 93, of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, and formerly of Hershey, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Village.
Born June 18, 1931 in Howard, PA she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Adah Lucille (Wetzel)) Pifer and the widow of Richard A. Spisak since August 2023, after 70 years of marriage. The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by siblings Alvin Pifer, Sara (Pifer) Bottorf, Malcolm Pifer, Kenneth Pifer, Nevin Pifer, Faye (Pifer) Cihlar, and Gerald Pifer.
A retired educator from Kinnelon School District, New Jersey, Edna was a member of the New Jersey Teachers Association, Hershey Areba Club, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey, St. Peter Catholic Church in Elizabethtown and the Ladies Auxiliary of both churches.
She was a devoted wife, coach/teacher and loved traveling domestically and internationally with her husband Richard and family.
Surviving are her children Terrence M. Spisak (Suzanne) of Millersville, PA, Barbara A. Hubert (John) of Shippensburg, PA, David A. Spisak (Carol) of Charlotte, NC, Patricia L. Millen (Matt) of Durham, PA, Timothy R. Spisak (Malanie) of Moneta, VA, and Steven M. Spisak (Kim) of Boiling Springs, PA; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church, Elizabethtown. Interment will be, at the convenience of the family, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
