Earl L. Austin

Earl L. Austin, 88, of Manheim, PA passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024 at Mt. Hope Nursing Home.

Born on March 11, 1936, he was the son of the late Earl and Katherine (Kaiser) Austin and grew up in Rensselaer, NY. He was predeceased by his wife Marie in 2020 and his brother Robert.

At the age of 17, Earl enlisted in the Navy. He served until 1962 receiving the National Defense Service and Good Conduct Medals. He was employed by AT&T for 37 years in Albany, NY and Columbia, MD.

Earl enjoyed outdoor activities, motorcycles and snowmobiles, but his passion was camping with family and friends. He was active in his church and provided prison ministry services. Earl was on call at the Red Cross donating gallons of blood over his lifetime.

Surviving are his daughter Beverly and beloved grandson John Yazici of Aguanga, CA; his son Frank of Boulder City, NV; and his siblings Kathryn Nardacci, Joan Sesock, and Karl Austin.

Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA with a memorial service at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the North Annville Bible Church, 4590 Hill Church Road, Annville, PA 17003 who did so much to support Earl in his final years.
