Donna Lee Fasnacht, 87, of Grantville passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Born June 2, 1937 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mildred (Clark) Kavanaugh and also preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Smith and Barbara Kiehl.
Retired from DuPont, Donna was known for the deep love she had for her family, unwavering strength and resiliency. She lived modestly and found joy in giving to others. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her five children, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and the one on the way. Over the years she enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, crocheting, family gatherings, and more recently sitting with her beloved cat, Danny. She never missed an opportunity to feed a stray or care for an injured animal.
Although she no longer walks beside us, her memory lives on through her children, Barbara Brassell (William) of Grantville, Kenneth Fasnacht, Jr. (Gordana) of Grantville, Larry Fasnacht of Middletown, Deborah Reitz (Jeffrey) of Grantville, and Sandra Geesaman (Galen) of Hummelstown; brother-in-law, Irvin Kiehl of Lemoyne; grandchildren, Brian Brassell (Elizabeth), Nicole Ehrhorn (William), Daniel Fasnacht (Melinda), Larry Fasnacht (Heather), Colton Reitz (Courtney), Tyler Reitz (Robin), Wesley Reitz, Rachel Schaffer (Justin), and Hannah Hershey (Andrew); great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Hanoverdale Cemetery, 577 Hershey Road, Hummelstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
