Donald R. Grove

Donald R. Grove, 88, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra and formerly of Union Deposit passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Born April 10, 1936 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Frank and Beatrice (Keller) Grove and also preceded in death by brothers James Grove and William Grove.

Bones was a retired construction supervisor for Alex R. Szeles, Inc., Harrisburg and member of the Hershey Italian Lodge.  A skilled carpenter, Don enjoyed making furniture and remodeling.  He also enjoyed travelling, feeding and watching the chipmunks in his yard, and raising various animals, especially ducks.

Surviving are his wife of almost 68 years Maryann (Cunkle) Grove; daughters Sandy Moeller of Elizabethtown and Mindy Detweiler (John) of Hummelstown; and grandchildren Jeremy Miller of Hummelstown, Jenny Balthaser (widow of William) of Palmyra, Bryce Detweiler of Media, Zachary Moeller of Elizabethtown, and Morgan Detweiler of Hershey.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2025 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM.  Interment in Hummelstown Cemetery.
