Donald C. Demay, Sr., 91, of West Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025.
Born June 10, 1933 in Harrisburg, he was the last surviving child of the late Harvey D., Sr. and Ida (Rowe) Demay. He was the widower, after 60 years of marriage, of Jeanne W. (VanMetre) Demay since October 2014 and also preceded in death by siblings Harvey Demay, Jr., Pauline Price, Edna Ochs, and Kenneth Demay.
A retired driver for Harrisburg Dairies, he was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, lifetime member of the VFW, and member of Linglestown American Legion Post 272.
Surviving are his son Donald C. Demay, Jr. of New York City; daughter Vickie L. Wak of Harrisburg; grandchildren Christopher Meckley, Alyssa Meckley, Bryan Wak, and Kota Demay; great grandchildren Wyatt Meckley, Braxton Randall, and Grayson Meckley.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM. Private interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, 1013 Mumma Road, Suite 203, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
