Dolores K. (Miller) Hitz

Dolores K. Hitz, 92, on Friday November 25, 2022, while surrounded by her family, peacefully entered Heaven from her South Annville Township home.

Born August 4, 1930 in Somerset, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Ethel (Weyand) Miller. She was preceded in death by her son Guy M. Hitz and siblings Twila, Dewain, Gloria, and Gale.

Dolores was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church, Lebanon where she served in the nursery, sang in the choir and assisted in teaching children’s classes. Along with her husband, she was involved in missions and visited many of the missionaries they supported. Marlin and Dolores traveled for over 25 years as a member of SOWERs and was involved in volunteer work all over the United States. A proud farmer’s wife for 73 years, she was also active in Farm Women for over 40 years, where she served as a past State President.

She is survived by her husband Marlin H. Hitz; children Marlene H. Michaels (Jim) of West Grove, Boyd M. Hitz (Judy) of Annville, and Scott M. Hitz (Barb) of Middletown;  siblings Mert Miller, Karen Boltz, Marilyn Kanalos, and Wayne Miller all of Lebanon;  many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.
