Daniel R. Detwiler

Daniel R. Detwiler, 57, of Mechanicsburg passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at home.

Born August 31, 1968 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Thomas R. and Deanna J. (Peiffer) Detwiler and also preceded in death by a brother Craig T. Detwiler.

Retired from PHEAA, Dan previously worked at Reese’s and was a 1987 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School.  He was an avid sports fan, especially following the Seattle Mariners since the 1980’s when his brother worked for the organization.  Outside of baseball season, he would be cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Montreal Canadiens.

Surviving is his brother Edward D. Detwiler (Kelsey Swanson) of Omaha, Nebraska.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 9:30 AM.  Interment in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
