Clyde D. Wheland, 87, of Palmyra passed away Friday, July 17, 2026 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Born August 31, 1938 in Spruce Creek, Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late Roy and Helen (Johnson) Wheland and also preceded in death by grandson Troy Wheland, Jr.
He was a self-employed building contractor, attended Community Bible Church and was a U. S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years Karen L. (Parson) Wheland; daughter Brenda L. Harris (Timothy); sons Troy Wheland and Adam Wheland; grandchildren Robert Hopkins, Brent Hopkins, Sierra Brennaman, Matthew Wheland; five great grandchildren; and brothers Lynn Wheland and Larry Wheland.
Military honors will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Bible Church, 1849 South Forge Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.
