Clarence L. "Nick" Nicholson

Clarence L. “Nick” Nicholson, 91, of Camp Hill passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Born February 18, 1932 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Charles and Sylvia Nicholson.  Nick was the widower, after 42 years of marriage, of Gloria M. Nicholson, since 1997 and also the widower of Ruth H. Freedman.  He was also preceded in death by daughters Diane M. Baker and Valerie M. Nicholson.

Retired from the warehouse of Harrisburg Grocery, he was a member of Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill where Nick poured his heart and soul into running the Cumberland County Food Bank for 17 years.  He was a graduate of Steel High, where he played football, and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  Nick loved his Lord and Savior and serving Him at the church and the food bank.

Surviving are his son Steven A., husband of Kathleen J. Nicholson of Dillsburg; grandchildren Tanya Matter (Tim), Shawn Nicholson (Bekah), Amy Lebo (Taylor) and Stephanie Nicholson (Nicholas); and great grandchildren Cameron Matter, Jasmine Matter, Ella Nicholson, Chase Nicholson and Matthew Lebo.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill preceded by a viewing starting at 10:00 AM.  Private interment, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
